Are You a Spectator or Participator?

Mark 16:15,16 NKJV
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.

Are you a Christian who just sits in the church pews but is not actively doing anything for the Lord whether at work, at your church or any time in your life? Do you prefer to just listen and read the word of God just for yourself – but not actively spend time sharing it to others?
God wants you to share His word and to actively demonstrate and have an impact on the lives of other people by putting into practice His word for the glory of God.
The word of God is meant to benefit you. However it is also meant to benefit those who do not have a personal relationship with God so that they may know the Lord.

Mark 16:17-18 NKJV
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

As a child of God, Jesus wants you to have impact. Whatever Jesus did while physically on earth during His ministry, He had an impact on people’s lives.
Therefore because Jesus is inside you, the Lord wants you to have the SAME impact on people’s lives.
Jesus has given you authority such that whatever you ask for in His name, He will perform to His glory.
Jesus prayed for the sick. Therefore YOU too should pray for the sick.
Jesus showed love and compassion. Therefore YOU too should show love and compassion.
Jesus overcame the temptations of the devil. Therefore YOU too will overcome the devil.

John 14:12-14 NKJV
“Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.

As a Christian you have been given authority and power to effectively do the work of the Lord. The Holy Spirit has given you gifts which you are able to use for the benefit of others and to the glory of God.
You are fully equipped with ALL that you need to be an effective Christian.
You don’t need to be a SPECTATOR in the kingdom of God. You are a PARTICIPATOR.
You are equipped to do the SAME works and signs that Jesus did whilst on earth and MORE through Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Luke 9:1-2 NKJV
Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

From today, find someone to share God’s word; bring a believer to a saving knowledge of God’s word; pray for somebody who’s not feeling well; exercise the authority and power that Jesus has given you.
