Why are God & Satan at War?

Why Are God & Satan at war? Why does this battle exist? Who or what is it all about?
From the moment that Adam & Eve sinned against God in the Garden of Eden, there has been a battle experienced in mankind that still continues to this very day.
GOOD versus evil; LIGHT versus darkness; LOVE versus hate; PEACE versus war; FAITH versus fear; RIGHT versus wrong; LIFE versus death; the SPIRIT versus the flesh; ANGELS versus demons; GOD versus satan.

Below are 4 reasons why God & Satan are at war
(1) The Trophy In This Battle is YOUR LIFE. When the war is over which side will you be found? On the side of those who have perished? Or on the side of those who have received everlasting life though Christ Jesus. (Deuteronomy 30:19 NKJV – I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live;)

(2) God Wants You To Have A Life In Heaven – If there is anything that you should know about God is that He loves you and He wants you to have everlasting life. God wants you to have quality & purposeful life on earth and He wants you to have everlasting life with Him in Heaven. (John 3:16 NKJV – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life). GOD’s main goal is to reconcile His creation and all people to Himself and make sure that as many people as possible go to Heaven through Jesus.

(3) The Devil Wants You To Be In Hell – Satan knows that his time is short. He will therefore do all in his power to ensure that as many souls as possible join him in hell. The devil’s objective for all that he does is for the eventuality of ensuring as he takes as many souls as he can permanently away from the presence of God. Hell is a place where a person is eternally separated from God. (Revelation 12:12 NKJV – Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.)

(4) Satan Wants To Destroy Everything That God Loves. In Genesis 1 whatever God created, He made good. However, the devil sought to steal, kill & destroy creation through the introduction of sin. The problems we see in life including those related to nature such as sickness, chaos, death and all kinds of suffering are rooted to the sin problem or the fall of man. If there is anything that you should know about the devil, is that he hates you and he wants to make sure you perish. The devil wants to kill, steal and destroy you and God’s purpose for you in your life. (1 Peter 5:8 – Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour).
The devil didn’t create anyone or anything. The devil wants to destroy everything that God loves and the devil wants to destroy everything that God created. (John 10:10 NKJV – The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly)
The real trophies are people’s lives. YOUR life is important to God because God created YOU. When He created you, He had a purpose and a plan for your life.

God Loves You & Wants You In His Family
Jeremiah 29:11-13 NKJV
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.
God’s thoughts of you are thoughts of peace and not evil. God is not out to destroy you. God has no ulterior motives. God wants you to have a great future.
When the devil deceived Eve in the Garden of Eden the devil tried to make it appear as if God had ulterior motives; as if to suggest that God didn’t have Adam & Eve’s best interest at heart.

Genesis 3:4-5 NKJV
Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
The truth is, before Adam & Eve sinned, they were already like God. Because they were made in God’s image; they never experienced sickness; they never experienced poverty; they never experienced anxiety; they never experienced death; they were always in God’s presence; they were always joyful; they were never afraid; they were prosperous; UNTIL they listened to the serpent and sinned.
When Jesus came to earth He came to destroy the works of the devil and restore man to God’s original status

1 John 3:8 NKJV
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
So if the devil came to steal, kill and destroy – then Jesus came to restore you to a right relationship with God and to give you a quality, prosperous and everlasting life.
