What is The Great Reset?

Many influential people around the world have been advocating for what is called “The Great Reset”, from political leaders such as Justin Trudeau to royalty such as Prince Charles.
However, what exactly is the Great Reset? Is it a conspiracy theory? Who is behind the agenda of the Great Reset? Will the implementation of the Great Reset agenda eventually lead to a New World Order or one world government?

The Great Reset is a term coined by the World Economic Forum (WEF), an international organization which was founded by Klaus Schwab.
According to the WEF website “The World Economic Forum is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation. The Forum engages the foremost political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.”

So basically one of the primary mission and agendas of the WEF is to influence global elites and organizations to change or reshape the world according to the World Economic Forum’s vision, philosophy and ideologies.
World Economic Forum partners include organizations such as AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Moderna, Coca-Cola, Amazon, Google and many others.

WEF’S Young Global Leaders program has the world’s most notable leaders and CEOs, such as Mark Zuckerberg, Jacinda Ardern and  Emmanuel Macron just to name a few.

What is the Great Reset?

The Great Reset is a globalist initiative and attempt to seize the opportunity of the Covid-19 pandemic to reshape the world and create a new world order.
Shortly after Covid-19 became a worldwide pandemic, Klaus Schwab the WEF founder wrote a book called Covid-19: The Great Reset which envisions a new political, technological, social and economic system in the world in supposed response to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Klaus Schwab has also been quoted as saying: “The pandemic represents a rare but narrow window of opportunity to reflect, reimagine and reset our world”.

Another quote from Schwab is that: “A new world could emerge, the contours of which it is incumbent on us to re-imagine and re-draw”

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau echoed similar statements by saying: “This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset . . . our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems.”

On the WEF website, Klaus Schwab writes: “To achieve a better outcome, the world must act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies, from education to social contracts and working conditions. Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a “Great Reset” of capitalism.”

A WEF-sponsored social media advert for the Great Reset, offering happy predictions for 2030, declared: “You’ll own nothing. And you’ll be happy.”

Therefore the Great Reset agenda will attempt to restrict the national sovereignty of countries and leave control of all the resources of the world in the hands of a few globalist elite.
So the Great Reset is an aggressive goal by the World Economic Forum to transform all economic systems by incorporating them into one giant centralized socialist system controlled by a few people.
However the Great Reset is not only about changing current economic systems – but the initiative seeks to change every aspect of human life in the world.

Will the Great Reset lead to a New World Order?

Is the concept of the Great Reset a conspiracy theory and will this initiative by the WEF really lead to a New World Order?
Different advocates and promoters of the Great Reset do not hide the fact that they seek to usher in a New World Order or a one world government system.
The World Economic Forum itself does not hide its main agenda and mission: that its purpose is to reimagine, reshape, redesign, re-draw and to reset the entire world.
Klaus Schwab for example also wrote a book called The Fourth Industrial Revolution which promotes controversial technological ideologies such as transhumanism and genetic editing. Schwab believes that such technological advancements are central to achieving the goals of the Great Reset.

The ultimate goal of the Great Reset is to change all aspects of life from the economy, technology, climate change, culture and religion, food and all resources – and place the control of all these aspects under the control of a one world government or a few global elite.

The Great Reset agenda naturally raises concerns if end times prophecy of a Biblical nature will be fulfilled should the WEF manage to accomplish its globalist agenda.

From the Book of Revelation we can learn that a New World Order would mean a one world government; A one world government would mean a one world currency and the mark of the beast; A one world government would also lead to a one world religion.
Finally a one world government, the mark of the beast and a one world religion would eventually lead to the ushering of the Antichrist.

Will the Great Reset lead to a New World Order? The true answer to this question will depend on the future success or failure of this particular agenda.

However there are strong signs via this particular WEF initiative that the entire world is indeed being prepped for a reimagined and totally different kind of world that could possibly usher in a New World Order.

How Should Christians Respond to the Great Reset?

1. Do not be ignorant about what is spiritually happening in the world around you.
As Christians we are encouraged to be discerning regarding the signs of the times.
In Matthew 16:2-3 Jesus says: “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’  3 And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.”

2. Remember that despite the plans of the wicked, God is still in control.
There is nothing happening in the world which surprises God. The plans of the wicked may appear to succeed for a while, but eventually the wicked and their evil plans will soon be destroyed (Psalm 37:12-22)
Psalm 37:1-2 says: Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! 2 For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb.

3. This fallen world cannot reset itself
We live in world where every human is a sinner (Romans 3:23). Despite technological advancements, the world is not getting better, but it is getting worse. Humanity’s moral & spiritual depravity continues to decline. Furthermore, the systems and kingdoms of this world belong to satan and soon the devil will be cast to into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).
Therefore because of sin, the world cannot save itself. The world cannot reset itself.

4. Only God can reset the world
The true Great Reset will only occur when Jesus Christ returns. It is Jesus Christ who will establish a new heaven and a new earth (Revelation 21:1-4).
It is only the Creator of the world who is capable of resetting the world again. We must therefore always be ready for the Second Coming of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

5. Ensure that you have a genuine relationship with Jesus Christ
The world and its desires are fleeting. The world and its desires are contrary to the will and laws of God. Therefore we are not to conform to the standards of this world (Romans 12:2).
Instead we must seek to remain faithful to Christ and to the word of God. It is only in Christ that we can avoid the trap of worldly deception and ideologies.
Therefore we must ensure that we do not fall away from the faith, because 1 Timothy 4:1 warns that “in later times some will depart from the faith by devoting themselves to deceitful spirits and teachings of demons, through the insincerity of liars whose consciences are seared,”

Ultimately the Great Reset is a human initiative by worldly minded people. However God remains in control.
