Jesus, Light of the World
The knowledge of Jesus and by having a personal relationship with Him brings about many great privileges in one’s life. For example, when you have a relationship with Jesus, your spiritual eyes and mind are opened so that you begin to see life and circumstances from God’s perspective, rather than from a natural / fleshly / worldly perspective.
John 8:12 NKJV
Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Many people especially those who do not know God, are living a life that is full of darkness. People are searching for answers to problems in their lives. Perhaps they are struggling with addiction; perhaps they are struggling with an abusive relationship; perhaps they have a financial problems or they are dealing with feelings of hatred and unforgiveness. Whatever the problem, there people out there who do not know the answers to their problems and they feel like they are in darkness because they do not have the answers.
Jesus however taught that HE is the LIGHT of the world. Jesus did not say that He will show people the light – but He said that He IS the Light.
Therefore whenever we are in darkness over a situation in our life, we need to bring Jesus who is the Light into that particular situation. Whenever you enter a dark room, you instinctively will switch on the light in that room so that you see the contents of the room clearly. It is true therefore to say that whenever we enter dark situations or circumstances in our lives, we must bring Jesus into the situation so that our challenges may be clearly seen for what they really are and also so that we may know how to tackle and solve our challenges through Christ.
John 11:9-11 NKJV
Jesus answered, “Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”
When you are in darkness, a lot of things or challenges can be exaggerated and appear more scary than they really are. That’s why it is important not to view life from our own understanding or from our own limited insight. In order to view life correctly, you must always have Jesus, the Light of the world with you so that you see the journey of your life and your environment more clearly.
When you read the Bible and specifically about Jesus’ life, I believe you will find that there is no problem, no challenge and no situation that is in the world today that Jesus did not in some way talk about. God through His word has given us the answers to every problem that the world has today. God is able through His Son Jesus to answer every individual problem that you personally have in your life because Jesus IS the Light of your life and of the world.
John 12:46 NKJV
I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
Jesus is the answer. He is the light concerning our relationship problems, our financial problems, our health problems and our spiritual problems.
The key to walking in the light and not in darkness is found in Jesus by

TODAY. Jesus is your light. Walk in Him.
