7 Facts About The Mark of the Beast

According to the Book of Revelations, the mark of the beast is a seal or mark that is literally placed in the hand or forehead of a person.
Now there have been several speculations concerning the description of the mark of the beast. Some people speculate that the mark of the beast could be some sort of tattoo; others speculate that it might be a technological implant like a microchip or nano technology; while others say that the mark of the beast is metaphorical for the state of the mind and the heart of mankind

However, there are 7 Biblical facts about the mark of the beast. They are as follows:

Fact # 1
The mark of the beast will be given to those people who support and worship the Antichrist. Therefore the mark of the beast will act as a seal for those who believe in the antichrist / beast system and those people who make a decision to worship the Antichrist.
Revelation 13:16 – Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead

Fact # 2
The mark of the beast will be used to conduct economic and business transactions such as buying and selling. Therefore the mark of the beast will identify between those who can transact and trade in the antichrist / beast system and those who cannot trade.
Revelation 13:17 – So that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Fact # 3
The false prophet / the 2nd beast is the one who causes and convinces people to embrace the mark of the beast. The false prophet will convince people of every social and economic status to receive the mark of the beast from the rich to the poor and from the young to the old.

Fact # 4
The mark is literally and physically placed in the hand or in the forehead of a person. The Bible text indicates that the mark is not a metaphor or a symbol and neither is its placing on the hand or forehead metaphorical.
The fact that the Bible says that a person cannot buy or sell without the having the mark itself, indicates that the mark is something literal and physical because the mark would have to be detected whether electronically or visually for someone to be able to buy or sell.

Fact # 5
The mark of the beast will exist or be given during the 7 year Great Tribulation period. Therefore the 7 year Tribulation will occur after the rapture but before the return of Jesus Christ.

Fact # 6
The people who refuse the mark of the beast will be persecuted and most likely killed for not only refusing the mark of the beast but also for refusing to worship the Antichrist.
Therefore whoever worships God and follows Jesus Christ during the Great Tribulation will be under immense persecution. However those who have been persecuted will eventually reap the benefits of being faithful to God according to Revelation 22:4

Fact # 7
It’s not possible to get the mark of the beast right now. Certain conditions need to be in place in order to receive the mark of the beast.
a) The rapture has to occur
b) The false prophet and the Antichrist himself have to appear
c) The time period has to be the Great Tribulation
